Lots of good information here. I like the weekly recap idea and have just started doing more raw video postings myself (my latest about Google TV as well).
As a quick tip, you should try putting the time next to each item you discuss in the description. If you do this, the time stamp will become a hyperlink and allow viewers to skip to the news they are most interested in. For example, you discuss polls at 15:25
That should now be a link and it should work in comments and in descriptions.
