there’s no way to change the css on a server where you don’t have access to off course. it would be a very usefull feature to let firebug save the css locally after the edits though! lots of people use it for local designing and developing too.
i guess i have to look into this eclipse IDE then :°(

Anyone interesting in saving their work can link Firebug with Fireclipse (google it), then saving the file from eclipse.

Because if you are diagnosing a CSS layout problem, you may not know exactly what is wrong. This allows you to quickly figure out what is wrong so that you can change it all at once.

You can’t just “save” the edited css. If you could, you’d be able to edit any site’s css. You just use Firebug to see what the changes would look like IF you made them. You have to manually edit your css file using whatever tool you like best.
